THE LITTLE THINGS WHICH ARE ALSO BIG THINGS
The little things which are also big
I was reading my devotion this morning; I felt God speaking to me directly. As I was thanking Him for the message, I received a message.
The speaker said ; if we do little things like their big things, God will do big things like their little things.
I thank God because a few days prior, I was expecting the fulfilment of God’s promise, which you may or may not have heard of already. I asked God “Is there anything you want me to do “. I asked that because we were told that we need to do big things for God, make big sacrifices to move God and that is true 100%, there are other times God does not require “much” from you to move.
God’s reply to me, when I asked, you have already done what I asked you to do, all you need to do is wait
for the manifestation and trust Me.
Now to the message I received;
The message was TRUST, a word that sounds so simple, yet it’s one of the biggest and sometimes the most difficult thing to do. The thing about trusting God is that it comes with patience (Wait!), that’s what makes it even harder. For many of us, we like to be in control, know what’s coming and somewhat prepare for it. So when you ask us to wait and trust, you are asking for the impossible; you are indirectly calling us lazy, incapable, “like there’s nothing you can do” thus making us feel helpless.
No, Jane, that’s not it!

You have to give a massive offering, do a big charity work, just something big for everyone to see or not see, as long as you feel like you have done something big, so God would have to do something.
Again there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and if done with the right heart it has proven times and times to work.
I am not saying trusting God is a hard thing because, to be honest, It’s not because the more you walk with God, the easier it becomes to trust. What makes it hard sometimes is that the human mind can make something so easy to look difficult. We made ourselves believe that for us to get something big we have to do something equally big.
Now I think the definition of big and little is what we are mixing up. The speaker reminded me of the woman with two coins (Mark 12:41-44), that was little to us, to God it was massive.
We have almost in a way measured God but we forget that
- it’s in doing the little thing that we get the big thing just like the mustard seed
- just like the widow’s mite, we see little; God sees big
- just like the mustard seed, the “little” act is for you to put in the ground and that’s it. As we read from Matthew 17:20, that is all that God requires and is big enough for God, but remember when you put that seed in the ground, there will be a waiting process for you to see that seed become a plant or tree.
Perhaps all that God is asking you to do today is to simply wait and trust or in my case do a little act of praying for some people, your “little thing” can come in various ways, don’t overlook it, do not belittle what God has classed as big.
I hope this encourages you today.
