God be letting me panic just to show me He never left the wheel

Moral of the story?
Even if it doesn’t make aense - God is still working. ALWAYS!!

It wasn’t until I joined the women’s group , no, scratch that , until I became a whole cluster leader 😩 that I found out about this “monthly dues” situation!

Women of God in other churches, please be honest… Do you pay monthly dues too? Or is it just us carrying this cross? 😅

Back then things looked different
Leaving wasn’t always safer for some, or practical or even acceptable .Many women stayed in the marriage not out of weakness but because they were doing the beat they could with what they had .
The marriage was never violent for once but there were other things which society never says much about .

This is not a post about right or wrong . It’s a post about compassion for the women who walked hard roads before us.

For years I would almost “judge and condemned” my mum for her choice to remain but recently I decided to look at it the other way . I decided to look at it from a place of compassion .

The question is ;

What would change if we truly listened to the stories behind their choices?

I know what it feels like to hold it all together

I know what it feels like to hold it all together when you are quietly falling apart
To smile for everyone else , while no one asks how you are really doing
You’ve been the encourager , the prayer warrior, the dependable one but wven string women need somewhere soft to land
It’s okay to say ‘I need help’ . That doesn’t make you less strong , it makes you human
Let God hold what you’re tired of carrying
You are allowed to feel
You are allowed to pause
You are allowed to let someone else carry the weight for a while
You are loved , You are held , You are still strong
I’m cheering you on , quietly and fiercely
