TOP 10 HOMEWARE STORE IN THE UK

The following is a countdown to my favourite homeware stores (including online stores)in the UK, a mixture of the bargain and semi-bargain stores. These

10. JYSK

Jysk a Danish retail chain, selling household goods such as mattresses, furniture and interior décor. In Germany, the stores are named DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER, while JYSK is the name of the stores in all other countries.

JYSK to me is a bit of Ikea and a tiny bit of H&M home with some of their decor items. Their prices, however, is nothing compared to both stores (especially when they have their frequent promotions).

I recently ordered a few decor items from them and what a bargain they were. I bought this Picture Frame for £3, originally £7.49, to be honest, I would not mind buying it at the original price.

There are 26 stores all over the UK, their stock remains pretty the same for a while, this could be due to their stock turnover rate, or it’s just how they operate seeing as they are small in the UK. Great for people like me because they have very nice items, and I know when next I come back to visit, I can still get it. Their online store is only to reserve items online and collect in-store. Very handy if you have a store close to you.

9. Next Home

I love Next home. They have many beautiful, luxurious homeware, new and modern. A bit pricey sometimes but anyone familiar with Next will know that the sale is fantastic if you are quick enough to grab it or if it doesn’t run out of stock before the sale.

8. Asda/George

Amongst the likes of Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury, Asda/George comes top for me, all these stores all seem to have the latest trend of homeware in their capacity. Price-wise Asda appears to be the most affordable, depending on what you are after. Their website looks the richest amongst the rest, it is the easiest to view what you are looking for, and there’s always more to look at with the free click and collect in-store. Asda comes top for me.

7. Home bargains

This store needs no introduction in the Uk. Like the name says, everything there is a bargain, but you have to grab it as soon as you see it because if you come back to get, it is most likely not going to be there anymore. However, the quality of the items occasionally questionable. The great thing is there is always new stock, especially with the Kitchen solutions brand and the Jeff Banks brand.

6. B&M

Similar to Home bargains, needs no introduction. While some Home bargains are a smaller store, most B&M stores are usually quite big and warehouse-looking. The quality of the items is probably a bit better than Home bargains. The prices are similar or slightly higher; very easy to overlook.

5. The range

Similar to B&m & Home bargains. My favourite out of the three stores. Excellent varieties of homeware items that look expensive but sold at a bargain price.

4. Dunelm

Quite similar to Next Home but at a slightly lower price on most things.

3. Ikea

Need I say more. Homeware heaven quite literally.

2. H&M home

It was either this store or Zara home for me, but Zara is more expensive. Be rest assured that at least two H&M home items are literally in every YouTuber’s abode as I have recently discovered. Recently their products don’t stay for too long; especially their vases and a few other decor items. They always seem to go out of stock as soon as they launch them. I understand why because I love that store with the free delivery for members (We all know delivery is sometimes the deal-breaker for us). However, if you are lucky to have a physical store near you, you stand a better chance of getting the items, they hang around a bit longer than the online store.

1. Tk Maxx

It’s an obsession. As I recently shared in one of my shopping videos that, “TK Maxx is my own very little taste of America”. I watch many American YouTubers. I always get so jealous of the number of homeware stores and items in America. They have TJmaxx, HomeSense and HomeGoods, we(in the UK) are the only privilege to have just Tk Maxx and HomeSense (it’s so unfair). Let’s not talk about all the other stores; Restoration Hardware, Target, Container Store, bed, bath and beyond etc. Let’s be honest even their TJ Maxx, Homesense and Homegoods are ten times better than the UK. Can you tell that I am very jealous?

I love that I can find these luxurious, also unique items there. They don’t hang around too long as well. There is probably only a maximum of 3 of the item in stock as I believe they are individually sourced items out. Once they are gone, they are gone.
