Day 2 : Owning my morining
Welcome to Day 2 of my 12 days of Christmas
It was the second day of Christmas, and it is fair to say we all felt much better. I woke up early in the morning, as I do most mornings, feeling a rush of adrenaline as I read the book 5 am club by Robin Sharma, and I knew it was time for me to start implementing all that I had learnt so far from this book and so I did, and I felt the better for it. I had time to self-care properly without interruptions for the first time in years. I got dressed, feeling accomplished, and headed to my daughter’s room to get her ready for school.

I could not put together the advent calendar this year as I had hoped, and I was still trying to decide whether to put out the Christmas tree. This time last year, the tree was already up, but this year, I was very indecisive, probably cos we have a toddler running around, and I was curious if the tree would sit the test of time. Christmas would not be the same without a Christmas tree, I thought to myself. So, I decided to get a small real Christmas tree for a change today. So I decided to go to the shops to get one and buy a few more Christmas presents to add to the other hamper.

My shop trip could have been more successful; I saw a couple of trees, but yet again, I hesitated and did not buy any Christmas trees.
As the day came to an end, we drove back home. I felt fulfilled because this was the first day of the rest of my life. I am finally owning my morning. I went to bed that night feeling grateful and looking forward to what the morning of the third day of Christmas would bring.
